A life-long project to explore.

The Golden State Hiker was started by Zac Dalton as an incentive to explore new places and document adventures around his home state of California. As a Central Coast native, Zac has always been fascinated by California’s rich history and its dramatic landscapes. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in journalism, and is currently working towards becoming a history teacher.
